We are more than just a social club. One of our fundamental objectives is to raise funds for charity as well as to reward and recognise contributions made by Liverymen to the wider aims of the Livery. This is undertaken through support for various City charities and the Club’s annual Root & Branch Award.
The Root & Branch Award was created in 2014 to celebrate the Club’s centenary and honours exceptional contributions within and across Livery Companies.

Charity
Each year on appointment, the President nominates two charities to support. President Chris Hayward’s nominated charities are the Guild of St Bartholomew’s Hospital which he chairs and the Housing for the Homeless Central Fund of which he is a Trustee.
Additionally, but just as importantly, the Club provides support to charity through its Benevolent Fund. Annual grants are made to the Lord Mayor’s Appeal and the Sheriffs’ and Recorder’s Fund. Other causes regularly supported by the Club are Treloar’s School, the Royal British Legion, the Lord Mayor’s Big Curry Lunch Appeal as well as the biennial British Red Cross Christmas Market held in the Guildhall.
The Club’s Charity number is 212532 and our details on the Charity Commission website can be found here.
The City Livery Club exists to unite the Livery and promote fellowship. Apply for entry to our vibrant and active membership below.
