Aero Section

Yellow Monoplane

The Aero Section was formed in 1968.  At that time it was Service–orientated with many distinguished RAF and Fleet Air Arm members.  Today, it has a wider base including those with backgrounds in commercial aviation, or having a general interest.

The objectives of the Aero Section are for Members to enjoy good fellowship with like-minded people, hearing distinguished speakers and exchanging views and ideas.

Members meet at informal luncheons with guest speakers and occasional evening meetings. There is a formal dinner following the Annual General Meeting in October. Visits are arranged to places of interest and a ‘Gliding Day’ is arranged annually in August with the ‘Upward Bound Trust’ at Haddenham, Buckinghamshire.

A committee is responsible for the administration and activities of the Section and Chairman and officers are elected annually.  There is a small annual subscription of £10.00 to cover administrative expenses.

If you are interested in joining please contact the Section Chairman, Mr Graham Withers or the Section Secretary, Mr. Arthur Creighton.
